Upping The Intake Of Blueberries And Strawberries

Upping The Intake Of Blueberries And Strawberries appears to reduce cognitive decline in older women by up to two-and-a-half years, according to a new study which used data from a longitudinal study of female nurses.    The fruits are high in flavonoids, compounds in plants that have powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.   Experts believe that stress and inflammation contribute to cognitive impairment.  Women in the study had an average age of 74 years.
